Waki-gatame | Chave de braço prendendo pela axila

   Ude-hishigi-waki-gatame 腕挫腋固  

É uma das dez técnicas da lista de Kansetsu-waza oficiais do KODOKAN. Waki-gatame pode ser traduzido como travar na axila(chave de braço prendendo pela axila) . Quando realizado a partir de uma postura em pé há um grande risco de rompimento de ligamentos do cotovelo ou fratura óssea, essa manobra é penalizada com Hansoku-Make (violação grave) pela Federação Internacional de Judô em competições.  Veja abaixo como é feito.

It is one of the ten techniques on KODOKAN's official Kansetsu-waza list. Waki-gatame can be translated as armpit lock (arm lock attached to the armpit). When performed standing up there is a high risk of rupture of the elbow ligaments or bone fracture, this maneuver is penalized with Hansoku-Make (serious violation) by the International Judo Federation in competitions.
